Flathead Lake Lodge
Over the years Flathead Lake Lodge has hosted a vast amount of beautiful weddings ranging from country chic to extravagant elegance. Whether you want to have a more intimate wedding located in our event center or rent the entire lodge out, we’ve got it all!
After a week long game of hide and go seek all the horses were found on the 1,300 acres and brought out to winter pasture in Kalispell.
Its that time of the year again! We woke up today to a dusting of snow covering the last of the green grass we had. With the high of the day only reaching 35 degrees the winter clothes and boots are back out.
As much as we love fall around here we also love all the winter activities that come with the snow. Check out the link below for a list of the exciting winter activities we partake in.
As we wrap up our 68th season and reminisce about all the families and events we hosted this year, we feel very privileged having met you all. Thank you for yet another spectacular summer and we look forward to next year.
After a long day of riding, the kids enjoyed jumping in the cool waters of Flathead Lake.
The 1st Annual Spartan Race brought in over 7,000 racers and spectators form all over North America.
The 4th Annual Crown of the Continent Guitar Foundation Workshop and Festival was once again a huge success.
The 2nd Annual Dragon Boat Festival was a two day event this year with over 10,000 participants and spectators.
One might ask what the lodge dogs do to get through the winter months? Well Roni, everyone’s favorite chocolate lob is teaching Loop, Laine and Nikki’s puppy, all the tricks in the book. These two more often than not can be found lounging in the office or playing outside in the fresh snow. Dally and Daisy, the Saint Bernards are loving winter. Despite their interest in being inside dogs, these two always find the last snow patches to lay on when the weather warms up. Don’t worry though, they will all get fresh baths before everyone gets here.

Due to the long winter months we have taken on many different projects, one that entails restoring a classic Budweiser style carriage. Sledge and Hammer are excited for their new hitch. Check out the pictures below which include some of the restoration process!
Winter weather is upon us at Flathead Lake Lodge. We woke up to two or three inches of snow this morning and temperatures below 30. Still calling for more snow this week and into the weekend. The winter coats and boots have made their first appearance for the season. The crew is working hard outside on the hill building more fencing and cutting down dead timber, in the freezing cold, Go Guys!!! We’re crossing our fingers for one more stint of warm weather, wishful thinking!
Meet the newest members of the Flathead Lake Lodge family! Sledge and Hammer, ages 4 and 8, are the lodge’s new draft horse team. They can be seen grazing in their pasture near the barn or giving guests carriage rides around the grounds in our 10 passenger Montana Carriage.
Summer is almost here, and with the long sunny days bringing everyone out of their winter slumber, the picturesque village of Bigfork is coming to life for another great summer.
Although it is hard to leave the ranch during your vacation, (Often we have to remind guests to save some time for some R & R) the quick walk to downtown Bigfork is a great way to spend some time away from the ranch.
