The Flathead Lake sits at the heart of the Flathead Valley, just west of the Continental Divide ringed by the Swan, Salish, Mission, and Whitefish ranges of northwest Montana.

The surrounding parks and wilderness areas offer an abundance of outdoor recreation and sight-seeing. Carved by glaciers during the last Ice Age, the Flathead Valley is rich with biodiversity and has a natural beauty unlike no other place in the US. Glacier National Park, the crown jewel of the continent, is renowned for it’s history, wildlife and scenic beauty. Glacier National Park is a beautiful 45 minute drive from the lodge and offers unparalleled hiking and sight-seeing. Bigfork, Montana, the “Villiage by the bay”,  is a charming western artisan village on the bay with a wide assortment of fine art galleries, restaurants and unique shops. A short walk to town is an enjoyable afternoon foray following a day of horseback riding in the wilderness.
